signify that Jesus is the beginning and the end of all things.

THY KINGDOM COME: The crown and key.
The crown points to the promise of eternal life to all who follow
Christ, the King of kings. The key refers to the key Jesus
gave to the disciple Peter, saying "Upon this rock..." The
implication is that we are also given the key to build God's realm
in this world. The key has a trefoil pattern at the top, a
symbol of the Holy Trinity. |

THY WILL BE DONE: The praying hands with
rays of light. The praying hands is a more contemporary
symbol. It indicates our awareness of the need to sincerely
seek an understanding of God's will for our lives. The
golden rays of sun speak of illuminated truth. Light is
equated with superior spirit and intelligence. |

ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN: The ship as it
sails through stormy seas to eternity. The ship is at full
sail and yet unharmed in peril. The water because of its
cleansing power symbolizes purity. The gates symbolize
Jerusalem or the Holy City and they represent entrance. |

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD: The wheat
stands for the bread of life. The open Bible means the
sharing of knowledge and truth. Wheat is food for our
physical being while the Bible serves as food for our spiritual
growth. |

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE
WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US:
The dove with an olive branch and the rainbow.
The dove represents the Holy Spirit. The olive branch is a
sign of peace, harmony and healing. Olive oil was used for
ointments in biblical times. The rainbow symbolizes
forgiveness and pardon. The rainbow symbolizes forgiveness
and pardon. The rainbow appeared to Noah after the flood as
a symbol of God's forgiveness and as a covenant which God chooses
to make with humankind. The rainbow carries the implication
of God's caring. |

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL:
The scales and balance. This is the symbol of justice and
our plea to God to aid us in choosing good over evil. |

symbolizes resurrection. The sun points to God as the source
of life-giving power. |
